Through the use of job stress as a mediating variable, this study seeks to examine the direct relationship between the workplace and an individual's fit for their position and job happiness. 52 respondents who worked for the Dazzle Yogyakarta Mobile Phone Accessories Retail Company provided the data. A quantitative approach and non-probability sampling method with saturated sampling were used to analyse the data. Using a questionnaire, primary data were gathered. SPSS is used as the analysis method in this study. The findings of this study show that job satisfaction is directly influenced by the work environment, directly influenced by person-job fit, indirectly influenced by work environment through job stress as a mediating variable, and indirectly influenced by person-job fit through job stress as a mediating variable.
