David Haruna Mrisho. "The Effect of Future Time Perspective on Innovative Work Behaviors of Employees in Tanzania’s Banking Sector" International Research Journal of Economics and Management Studies, Vol. 2, No. 3, pp. 520-526, 2023.
The study examined the impact of future time perspective (FTP) on workers' innovative work practices in Tanzania's banking industry. In response to inquiries for demographic data and items to measure variables included in the research model, 220 workers from the 17 selected commercial banks in Tanzania participated in the survey. The research hypothesis was tested using structural equation modelling (SEM) and SPSS version 21. The correlational findings showed a strong and positive correlation between the view on the future and creative work practices in Tanzania's banking industry. Additionally, the regression study showed that employees in Tanzania's banking sector exhibit more innovative job behavior as future time perspectives increase. Perspectives about the future have an impact on creative work practices. The findings have significance for banks, other businesses, and policymakers who may use them to improve their intervention programmers and stimulate the socio-emotional resources required for organizations to foster innovative work behaviors. The results of this study shed light on the underlying mechanisms that motivate and encourage employees to engage in innovative work behaviors in the workplace, reflecting on how they see the future from both an organizational and personal standpoint.
