Abstract:

Green growth is currently a development trend covering the world economy. As a country greatly affected by climate change and environmental pollution, green bonds are an indispensable tool in Vietnam’s green growth goals. Research results show that although there has been a change in the Vietnamese government’s perception of green bonds, and there is a basic legal framework for green bonds, to date, there have been very few green bond issuances in Vietnam. The scale of each issuance is very small. Based on the causes of the above situation, the article proposes some solutions to develop the green bond market in Vietnam.
