Abstract:

In the contemporary globalized context, the success of multinational organizations hinges on effective cross-cultural communication that surpasses geographical and cultural constraints. This research delved into the primary impediments to cross-cultural communication within multinational companies operating in Indonesia, scrutinized their manifestations, and assessed their ramifications on day-to-day operations and the overall work environment. The objective was to comprehensively understand and tackle the challenges confronted by these organizations, offering practical strategies to bolster intercultural collaboration. Through the utilization of a Qualitative Research Design, the study concentrated on how HR professionals in multinational corporations integrate cross-cultural competence to navigate misalignments. The findings brought to light notable communication barriers, encompassing linguistic hurdles, variations in communication styles, and cultural misunderstandings, underscoring the necessity for a considerate approach to facilitate effective collaboration. Effectively managing cultural change involves addressing business dilemmas arising from cultural differences and regularly evaluating leadership competence.
