Abstract:

Cash waqf has become one of the strategic instruments in Islamic social finance, and it has great potential to strengthen economic development and community welfare. This research aims to explore the importance of religiosity, knowledge, and trust in shaping the behaviour of waqf donors in fulfilling cash waqf in West Sumatra. The data collection method used is a survey using questionnaires for waqf donors and prospective waqf donors who will contribute to cash waqf. The collected sample consists of 265 people. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis employing a Likert scale to map the perceptions of waqif and prospective waqif regarding their behaviour in cash waqf. The results of this study indicate that all variables, religiosity, knowledge, and level of trust, are very important and considered by the waqif in fulfilling cash waqf. This research is expected to contribute to knowledge and practice for the authorities involved in the implementation and execution of cash waqf like BWI and nadzhir, particularly in West Sumatra.
