Abstract:

This study systematically examines a holding company's strategic planning process to ensure it achieves its targets for the next year. The planning involves steps such as planning and development of business strategies. To precisely determine the direction and objectives of the strategic planning, an essential analysis of the external and internal environment occurs. In this research, the analysis of internal and external environmental factors using SWOT analysis. The external environment is assessed using PESTEL, while internal analysis captures the company's resources and capabilities. Data for both analyses are collected through interviews with senior management of the company. This qualitative data is complemented by quantitative analysis to assess internal and external factors, and the results are mapped into the grand strategy matrix. The research findings position the company in quadrant 1 of the grand strategy matrix, indicating favorable conditions for growth. This serves as the foundation for strategy formulation using the TOWS Matrix, implemented through FGD sessions. The TOWS Matrix identifies 20 interrelated strategic objectives leading to the company's financial targets and 13 strategic initiatives as drivers to achieve these objectives. The collaborative approach outlined in the TOWS Matrix ensures a comprehensive strategy aligned with the company's goals.
