Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to outline the causes of bad credit at the Jember branch of Astra Credit Companies (ACC). The descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. In Jember Regency, East Java, at Ruko Gajah Mada Square No. 20A, Jl. Gajah Mada No. 187, Kaliwates, Kaliwates Kidul, Kaliwates, Kec, and Kaliwates, the research was conducted at the Astra Credit Companies (ACC) Jember Branch. There were CRSH and ARHH, the two whistleblowers. Documentation and interviewing were used to gather data. Qualitative descriptive analysis is used in the data analysis method. The study’s findings indicate that two main external as well as internal factors—namely, the existence of debtor fraud through mortgages and the irresponsible and lazy attitude of Astra Credit Companies (ACC) Jember Branch officers—are to blame for the bad credit at the branch. However, the debtor has a dishonest character, the harvest fails owing to seasonal limits, and the debtor fails in doing business. They also prioritize other objectives to commit heinous crimes, such as cheating, so that they can transfer responsibility for paying each installment onto the other.
