Abstract:

This study investigates the impact of work-related social media use outside working hours on employee engagement, with organizational identification as a mediating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach with proportional and purposive sampling methods, involving 180 employees in the health sector in Trenggalek Regency. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between variables. The results indicate that work-related social media use outside working hours significantly positively impacts employee engagement, and organizational identification was found to positively mediate this relationship. The findings suggest that organizations might encourage work-related social media use outside working hours to enhance employee engagement while emphasizing the importance of strengthening organizational identification.
