Abstract:

This article comprehensively analyzes the impact of investment incentives and tax incentives on economic activity in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The primary focus of the study is on tax exemptions, depreciation policies, customs duty exemptions, and their impact on the business environment, as well as the development of the non-oil sector. The article also examines the investment incentive document and its legal and institutional foundations, tax regimes applied in free economic zones and industrial parks, as well as the areas attracting the most investment based on sectoral analysis. At the same time, a comparative approach with international experience is taken to identify the effectiveness and directions for improving the tax incentive system of Azerbaijan. The study's results show that ensuring legal transparency and the targeted application of fiscal incentives, in addition to improving the investment environment, also have a significant impact on promoting sustainable economic development.
