Recent shifts to hybrid work arrangements and working remotely have impacted organizations and given employees working freedom. However, this new focus has also been a source of new problems within the framework of burning out an employee. In hybrid work settings, the separations between work and personal life have become blurred; stress levels have consequently risen; working hours have become elongated; and finding work-life balance has become a challenge. This paper looks at the reasons behind high levels of burnout among employees in blended workforce solutions; the causes include long working hours, blurred lines between work and personal time, loneliness, and the need to be always online. Employing workplace surveys, interviews and organizational case studies, the paper discovers that stress associated with higher burnout includes information flow inconsistency, ambiguous expectations and lack of mental health support in the integrated workplace environment. It also looks at how HR can solve some of the above problems by fostering a well-being and work-life balance culture. The results imply that HR has the potential to greatly contribute toward burnout prevention by enforcing reasonable working hours, active communication of expectations, meet-up frequency, and offering mental health support. Additionally, promoting a healthy organizational culture, discussing mental health at work, and ensuring employees have resources to prevent becoming overwhelmed with work may decrease the likelihood of burnout. With reference to the four themes explored and in line with the present study’s objectives and questions, the following recommendations can be made to HR professionals wishing to support organisations in mitigating the negative impacts of hybrid work while enhancing employee mental health and overall productivity.
