Micarey B. Tangge, Adrian M. Tamayo. "Assessment of Government Programs for Agriculture in Sarangani, Philippines" International Research Journal of Economics and Management Studies, Vol. 4, No. 6, pp. 29-37, 2025.
The study aimed to assess the government programs for agriculture in Sarangani. The study utilized a quantitative research design using an Input Process Output (IPO) model. The data collected from the adapted questionnaires were analyzed using means, frequencies, and percentages, as well as importance-satisfaction interrelation analysis. Findings indicate that while farmers have acquired essential knowledge and skills, their adoption of improved agricultural practices remains moderate, particularly in land preparation, fertilization, irrigation, weeding, storage, organic farming, and animal husbandry. The study underscores the need for continued support interventions, technical support, and policy improvements to enhance productivity and practices among farmers. The importance of the program is high, while the level of satisfaction is low, especially in the market development services. Also, the program revealed high importance and satisfaction for extension support, education and training support services, and production support services. This indicates a critical need to reassess and enhance the implementation and effectiveness of these support services to better meet the needs and expectations of the farmers.
