Abstract:

This study explores the relationship between investment reconfiguration capability and the financial performance of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) through a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. Utilizing bibliographic coupling techniques via VOSviewer software, the research analyzes 88 scholarly articles from the Scopus database to identify trends, themes, and major research clusters. The findings reveal three main thematic clusters: (1) investment and reconfiguration, (2) distribution networks and system reconfiguration, and (3) manufacturing reconfiguration and investment costs. The study highlights the critical role of dynamic capabilities in enabling firms to integrate and recombine internal and external resources, thereby maintaining competitiveness and improving financial performance in rapidly changing environments. Consequently, this research makes both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of innovative, reconfiguration-based strategies in SME management.
