The global banking sector plays a pivotal role in steering the economy toward a net-zero future by integrating sustainability into its core operations. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, coupled with emerging technologies, have become essential drivers for reshaping banking practices, investments, and risk assessments. This paper examines the interplay between ESG frameworks and innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and big data analytics, in achieving net-zero banking. Additionally, it highlights the evolution of green finance, digital banking solutions, and regulatory frameworks that promote sustainable practices. Through case studies and a critical review of current strategies, this study identifies challenges, opportunities, and best practices that can guide the global banking sector toward sustainable growth. The findings aim to provide a roadmap for financial institutions, policymakers, and stakeholders in the pursuit of net-zero objectives.
