Abstract:

Strategic management is a comprehensive framework that guides organizations in formulating, implementing, and evaluating long-term decisions to achieve sustained competitive advantage. In the context of increasingly complex dynamics in business, government, and educational environments, the scope of strategic management encompasses not only the formulation of vision, mission, and long-term objectives but also internal-external environmental analysis, strategy selection at multiple levels (corporate, business, and functional), implementation through resource management, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. This article aims to systematically examine the fundamental concepts of strategic management, its scope within modern organizations, the main dimensions and stages of the strategic process, its functions and benefits for organizations, effective implementation strategies, and challenges faced in practice. The discussion focuses on the relevance of strategic management for business organizations, public agencies, and higher education institutions, with the expectation of providing conceptual and practical contributions to students, faculty, and management practitioners in understanding the importance of integrated and continuous strategy management.
