Abstract:

This study investigates the influence of Self-Efficacy (SE), Locus of Control (LC), and Organizational Culture (BO) on Employee Performance (KIN) within the garment manufacturing sector. The research aims to explain how individual psychological attributes and the organizational environment collectively shape employee effectiveness in this industry. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 85 participants from garment manufacturing companies in East Java. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to test hypothesized relationships, with the overall model demonstrating a robust fit to the empirical data. Key findings reveal that Organizational Culture significantly influences both Self-Efficacy and Employee Performance. Locus of Control also plays a substantial role in shaping Self-Efficacy and directly impacting Employee Performance. Furthermore, Self-Efficacy emerged as a significant predictor of Employee Performance. These results underscore the intricate interplay between individual psychological capital and the organizational milieu in determining employee outcomes. This study suggests that employee performance in garment manufacturing is deeply intertwined with self-perception, belief in controlling life events, and workplace culture. It highlights the importance of fostering an organizational environment that cultivates positive psychological states. Theoretical contributions include the empirical validation of an integrated model, extending existing theories on employee performance by simultaneously considering SE, LC, and BO within the garment manufacturing context. This enriches the understanding of how these constructs contribute to employee effectiveness. Practically, organizations can enhance performance by cultivating supportive cultures, improving self-efficacy, and understanding employees' locus of control.
