Abstract:

Performance appraisal systems play a vital role in evaluating employee performance and enhancing motivation within organizations. The present study aims to analyze the effectiveness of performance appraisal systems and their influence on employee motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational goal achievement. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. Primary data were collected from 150 respondents using a structured questionnaire, while secondary data were gathered from books, journals, and online sources. Statistical tools such as Percentage Analysis, Chi-Square Test, One-Way ANOVA, and Correlation Analysis were used for data analysis. The findings reveal that employees generally perceive performance appraisal systems positively and believe that fair and transparent appraisal practices significantly improve motivation, job satisfaction, and work efficiency. The study concludes that effective performance appraisal systems contribute to employee development and organizational success.
